Loop your agent in on emails, just like a teammate

by Parker Chun

Your Tasklet agents now get their own email addresses. You can collaborate with them right from your inbox, where work is already happening with your team and your clients. You can CC one of your agents on a thread, forward it a task, or just send it an email, and it gets the work done with the same connections, skills, and instructions you’ve set up.

You don’t always have to open Tasklet to get things done. Your agents work wherever you do.

CC your agent and let it help everyone on the thread

When you CC your agent, it sees the whole conversation and can reply to everyone on it. No one else needs a Tasklet account.

If a client emails you to reschedule, you can add your agent in your reply and ask it to sort out the calendar. It’s handled in one message, without leaving your inbox.

If you and a teammate are discussing a prospect’s demo next week, you can loop in your agent and ask it to build a personalized sales presentation from the thread. It replies with a deck for that prospect, ready for you both to review before it goes out.

Forward it and keep moving

When something lands in your inbox that you want handled, forward it to your agent with a line about what you need:

  • “Check the status of every deliverable on this project and draft a reply.” It pulls the latest from across your company tools and drafts a response for you to review.
  • “Log this receipt in QuickBooks and tag it to the client project.” It files the expense under the right client, so it’s ready to bill back.
  • “Use this feedback to update our website.” It drafts the changes for you to approve.

The email already has the context, so you don’t need to copy anything into Tasklet or explain the background. Want a different agent on it? Forward or CC that agent instead. It sees only that conversation, and your personal inbox stays private.

Give your whole team an agent in their inbox

Now everyone on your team can hand work to an agent without opening a new app or changing how they work.

Some of your teammates may not even need their own login to Tasklet. Add them as email contacts, and they can email the same powerful agent directly. It replies right in the thread.

Who can email your agent?

Every new agent starts out private to you, and so does its email address. From there, here’s who can email it:

  • You and anyone you share your agent with. Members of your agent can start new emails with it anytime.
  • Anyone on an email thread with you and your agent. They can reply to your agent as long as you stay on the thread.
  • Anyone you add as an email contact. Click the three dots on your agent’s email channel, choose Manage, and add their address. Once they confirm through a verification email, they can email your agent directly, and it can email them.

Your agent knows who’s writing and follows your instructions about what to share with anyone who isn’t a member.

Set up your agent’s email address

  1. Open your agent’s Channels tab and click Set up email, or just ask your agent: “Set up an email address for yourself.”
  2. Pick its address.
  3. Send it something real. CC your agent on a thread that’s waiting on you, or forward an email that’s sitting on your to-do list.

Set up your agent’s email

Getting help from your agent is now as easy as hitting CC. Next time you’re going back and forth with a client or teammate, loop your agent in on the thread and let it help.
