Get a daily priorities brief

Set up an AI agent that monitors your email and calendar and sends you a short brief each morning: top priorities, replies you owe, what you're waiting on, and meetings to prepare for.

How it works

Set it up in three steps

  1. Step 1

    Start with the prompt

Open it in Tasklet, or copy it into a new chat.

    Starter prompt
Help me start each weekday knowing what needs my attention. Check what's already connected and help me connect my email and calendar if needed. Then show me a sample brief here: * My top 3 priorities today * Replies and follow-ups I owe, including things I said I'd do * Meetings to prep for One line on why each matters, with a link. Keep it short and skip empty sections. Check the latest replies so you don't flag things I've already handled. Unread isn't automatically important, and skip cancelled or declined meetings. After I've seen it, ask what to change, then schedule it for 7am on weekdays. Email me the full brief and text me a short version, and help me set up texting if needed. Once it's running, suggest other tools I use that would make the brief better.
  2. Step 2

Connect your tools and make it yours

Connect your email and calendar, plus any other tools you want your daily brief to pull from.

You can personalize your brief even more by braindumping about your priorities, sharing more about what you're focused on and what can be ignored.

Works with the tools you use
    Email
    GmailOutlookAnd more
    Calendar
    Google CalendarOutlook CalendarAnd more
    Project management
    AsanaNotionClickUpAnd more
    Communication channels
    SlackTeamsChatTextingAnd more

Plus thousands more apps, and anything with an API or MCP server.

  3. Step 3

Review your brief, then schedule it

Ask your agent for changes until it's useful, then tell it when you want the brief to show up each day.

Add-ons

Make it do more

Once it’s working, paste any of these into the same thread.

  • Draft my replies

“For each reply I owe, write a draft in my email so it's ready for me to review and send.”

  • Prep me for external meetings

“For meetings with people outside my company, add a quick prep note: who they are, our last conversation, and anything else I should know going in.”

  • Track my commitments in an app

“Keep a running list of things I've said I'd do. Build me an app where I can see them and check them off.”

  • Add a Friday look-ahead

“On Fridays, end my brief with next week's key meetings, deadlines, and anything to prepare.”

Common questions

Before you connect your inbox

Will the agent send emails or change my calendar without asking me?

Not by default. You decide what your agent can do. This setup might draft replies and suggest calendar changes, but never sends or changes anything without your OK. If you want it to do more, like sending certain emails or adding events, just tell it. It only takes those actions if you explicitly allow them.

Is it safe to connect my email and calendar to Tasklet?

Yes. Tasklet is SOC 2 compliant, your data is encrypted, and it’s never sold or used to train outside AI models. You connect your accounts with a secure sign-in, so you never share your passwords. Visit our Trust Center for details.

How is this different from the AI summary in my email app?

Built-in summaries look at one email at a time or one app, when you ask. A Tasklet agent works more like a teammate. It checks your email, calendar, and other tools every morning without being asked, sends you the brief, and helps with the next step. It also gets better as you work with it: it remembers your feedback, your priorities, and what you’ve already handled.

Can I set this up for the rest of my team?

Yes. Invite teammates to your organization, and each person can set up their own brief in a few minutes using this same prompt, connected to their own accounts. Your personal data stays private: nobody sees your email, calendar, or brief. Any company knowledge or connections you choose to share across your organization are available to everyone’s agents, so everyone starts from what already works instead of starting from scratch.

How much does an AI daily briefing cost?

You can try it free, with no payment required. To keep it running every weekday, paid plans start at $25 a month. How many credits each brief uses depends on how much email, calendar, and other tools it checks, and which AI model you choose. See pricing

Here’s how you can wake up each day knowing exactly what your priorities are, with a brief tailor-made for you that tells you what you need to follow up on, what your objectives are, what you’re waiting on, what meetings you need to prepare for, any replies that you owe to people, and anything else that’s important that needs to stay top of mind, so nothing slips through the cracks, and you’re able to stay focused on exactly what your priorities are.

This is a brand new agent that we’re just getting started, and I wanna show you how I would set that up. I like to speak to my agent, and so the way that I would suggest doing it is clicking the microphone there, or pressing the space bar, so you can just talk. And I would begin with something like this:

“I want you to help me set up a daily priorities brief where you tell me if there’s any important responses that I owe, if there’s anything important that I’m waiting on, what my main three objectives should be for each day, and I want you to email me this, and I also want you to text me a very brief version of this as well. I want to set this up once, and then once we like it, I’d like you to do this on a daily basis. Let me know if there’s anything else that you think I should connect or that would be valuable to include in this that I haven’t thought of.”

So this says email and calendar are the best starting points. Slack and any task tracker you use would be useful context. Great. I need to add my email and calendar connections, so let’s do that.

And you can either make this only personal, only business, or you can combine them all into one. So you get one daily brief with your personal and your business life all combined, however you wanna set it up. I selected from some connections that I already have in place within Tasklet, just not with this agent. So I’m gonna let it know. “I just added Slack, email, and calendar. Let’s get started.”

I added those connections. Now it’s asking for permission, so I will allow, give it permission to all of those items. Great. Now it can go through my email, calendar, and Slack, find what my priorities are based on what I just asked it to do. So this just opened up a sidebar here with an example of the daily brief, which is great.

Another way that I like to communicate with my agents is also on the phone. So I might say, “This looks great, but please make it a little bit more brief so that I don’t have to read that much text. Make it more concise.” You can continue to refine and iterate.

And it is simultaneously showing up on all of my devices. One of the cool things with Tasklet is everything happens in the cloud, so you could shut all your devices down once it’s connected. Everything continues to happen. Nothing depends on your devices being open. Let’s verify phone number. Great. Verify. We are connected via phone. And it already said, “Priorities, here you go.” Perfect.

The next thing that I wanna do from there is say, “Moving forward, please send this to me every day at 6:15 AM so that I can read this on my way to work.” And just like that, now we have a daily brief that is coming to me every day at 6:15 AM. If I wanted to make a tweak, again, I can just say, “Weekdays only.” And you can make adjustments just by talking back and forth with your agent. Now it’s only sending Monday through Friday.

And that’s how you can start each day with a priorities brief, right in your inbox or right on your phone, that only gets better over time.
