Tasklet

AI event scout · Luma + Slack + calendar

Find great events and RSVP in one reply

Your AI event scout finds the events where you'll meet the right people. It searches Luma and other event sites for events that fit your interests, goals, and calendar, sends you a numbered list every week, and registers you for the ones you pick.

How it works

Set it up in three steps

  1. Step 1

    Start with the prompt

Open it in Tasklet, or copy it into a new chat.

    Starter prompt
Find events worth going to and sign me up for the ones I pick. Check what's connected and help me connect what you need. Sign in to Luma in a browser, and ask me to save the login or connect my 1Password so you can get back in if I'm logged out. Then clarify anything you don't know yet: * What city I'm in * The topics I care about, activities I enjoy, and the type of people I want to meet * What type of events to skip * Where to send my list, like Slack, text, or email Each week, find the best events over the next 2 weeks. Send me a numbered list with the link, date, time, location, and one line on why each is worth my time. Only include real, upcoming events that fit me, and let me know if one clashes with something already on my calendar. Keep it to the top 10, and use the events I pick and skip to make the next list better. When I reply with numbers, register me for those events, filling in my name, company, LinkedIn, and anything else it needs, then add them to my calendar. If an event costs money or asks something you don't know, ask me first. If it needs host approval, tell me it's pending. Once this is working, run it every week.
  2. Step 2

Connect event sites and your calendar

Your agent signs in to Luma in its own browser. Save the login to your agent, or connect 1Password, so it stays connected. Then connect your calendar and wherever you want the list, like Slack, text, or email.

Plus thousands more apps, and anything with an API or MCP server.

  3. Step 3

    Get fresh picks every week

Every week, your agent sends a numbered list of events that fit your goals and your calendar. Reply with the numbers you want, like “4, 6, 9,” and it registers you and adds them to your calendar.

Add-ons

Make it do more

Once it’s working, paste any of these into the same thread.

  • Look beyond Luma

“Also check Partiful, Eventbrite, Meetup, LinkedIn Events, and the wider web for events that fit what I care about.”

  • Prep me before I go

“The day before an event I'm registered for, tell me who's hosting, who else is likely to be there, and a few people worth meeting.”

  • Meet the right people

“Before each event, pick the 3–5 attendees I should meet, look them up on LinkedIn, and write a personal 'see you there' message for each one that I approve before you send.”

  • Follow up after

“The morning after an event, remind me to follow up with anyone I met, and offer to add them to my CRM.”

Common questions

Will it register me for events without asking?

No. It only registers you for the events you pick. If an event costs money, or a registration asks something your agent doesn’t know, it asks you first.

How does Tasklet connect to Luma?

Luma doesn’t have a way for agents to connect to your account directly, so your agent uses a browser, just like you would. Save your login to your agent, or connect 1Password, and it can sign itself back in if it ever gets logged out. Learn about saved logins

Can it find events on Partiful, Eventbrite, Meetup, or LinkedIn?

Yes. Tell your agent which sites to check, or ask it to search the wider web for anything relevant. Make the search as broad as you want, and cap the list at your top 3 or top 10 so it doesn’t get too long.

How does it know which events are right for me?

Tell it your city, the topics you care about, and the people you want to meet. The more specific you are, the better the list. It also checks your calendar and tells you if an event clashes with something you already have. And the more you use your agent, the more it learns about your preferences, so your picks keep getting more relevant.

What if an event needs host approval?

Your agent requests a spot, adds the event to your calendar, and tells you the request is pending. The host approves you on Luma like any other request. You can also ask your agent to keep checking: it can update your calendar once you’re approved, and if you’re still pending a couple of days before the event, it can find the host and offer to message them for you.

Is it safe to save my Luma login to Tasklet?

Yes. You enter your password in a secure form, never in the chat, and it never reaches the AI model. Saved logins are encrypted, and Tasklet is SOC 2 Type II compliant. If you connect 1Password instead, your agent only uses logins from the vaults you choose, and you keep managing them in 1Password. Visit our Trust Center for details.

How much does it cost?

You can try it free, with no payment required. To get a fresh list every week, paid plans start at $25 a month. Cost depends on how many sites it checks and which AI model you use. See pricing

Let’s set up an agent together that finds the best events for you, based on your interests, your goals, what’s going to put you in a room with the people you actually want to connect with, what’s already on your calendar, and where you are. You give it the criteria, and your agent goes out, finds the best events, registers for you, puts them on your calendar, and takes all of that off your plate, so you don’t find out about the best events when it’s too late.

This is a great job for an agent because it probably already knows a lot about you and what you’re trying to accomplish in business, and it can go out and do the research to find the events that are relevant for you.

For this example, I’m going to set up my agent, Evie, to find the best events for me. She’s already connected to my calendar, but I want to make sure she can connect to Luma, because that’s where I find a lot of great events here in San Francisco. “Hey, I want you to connect to Luma in the browser so that you can find the best events for me and help me register for the ones I want to actually attend.”

I’m going to save this login to the agent, so if it ever gets logged out for some reason, I don’t have to handle that. It can just jump right back in and keep the work going.

Now that Evie is connected to Luma in the browser, I’m going to have her search for the best events and then Slack me the best ones in a channel I created called Events For Mark. “Based on everything you know about me, take a look at events coming up over the next 2 weeks, and send me a Slack message in the Events For Mark channel so I can tell you which ones I want to go to. Then register and RSVP for me for the ones that make sense.”

Once we have this working, I’m going to set it up so that once a week she sends me all of the events over the next 2 weeks that should be on my radar, and then I can choose which ones I actually want to go to.

Right now I just have my agent looking at Luma, but if I wanted her to check other event sites like Eventbrite, Meetup, or LinkedIn, or just look online in general for events that should be on my radar, she can absolutely do that too. So you can make the search as broad as you want. You can also have her limit it and say, “Only send me the top three events,” or the top 10, so you don’t get a huge list.

Here we go. So she found me 15 events. It says, “You can’t go on this day, there’s a team dinner. This day is booked.” So it’s only telling me about events when I’m available, which is cool.

At the bottom it says, “Reply in this thread with the numbers you want.” So let’s say I want to go to 4, 6, and 9. Let’s respond: “4, 6, 9.” Okay. “On it.”

And if we go back into Tasklet, you can see that the same Slack message showed up here, and you can see in the browser that she’s setting those up.

I kind of hate typing in my LinkedIn, grabbing the URL, my name, my company, all that stuff every single time, so the fact that she just jumped in and did all of it is pretty awesome, actually.

And I just saw that it said it’s adding those to my work calendar too. If I come back in here: “On it, registering you. Done! I’ve applied to all three.” They’re all pending, and they’re all on my work calendar. Great.

The next step I would take is to say, “Run this every Thursday and send me a list of events over the next 2 weeks. Have it in Slack for me to review by 2:30 PM each week.”

Perfect. So now I’ve got an automation, “Thursday event picks for Mark,” and it set it up for 1:47 because I said before 2:30. This is going to keep running from now on, so each week I don’t have to spend time looking for events. Anything within the next couple of weeks will be on my radar.
