Send PandaDoc agreements for signature with AI

Your AI contract assistant connects to PandaDoc and gets your agreements ready to sign. It places every signature, initials, date, and checkbox field, assigns each one to the right recipient, and sends the document from PandaDoc once you review and approve.

How it works

Set it up in three steps

  1. Step 1

    Start with the prompt

Open it in Tasklet, or copy it into a new chat.

    Starter prompt
Help me get agreements ready for signature in PandaDoc so I don't have to place and assign every field by hand. Connect to the PandaDoc API to get started. When I give you an agreement, I'll want you to add a field everywhere it needs a signature, initials, a date, or a checkbox, and assign each one to the right person. Before you send it, give me a link so I can preview it and a summary of what you did. Don't send anything until you have my approval.
  2. Step 2

Connect PandaDoc and make it yours

Connect PandaDoc with an API key. Your agent gives you a secure form for the key, so it never goes in the chat. Then attach agreements right in the chat, or connect wherever they live, like Google Drive or Clio.

Works with the tools you use
    E-signature
    PandaDocDocusignAcrobat SignAnd more
    Where your documents live
    AttachmentGoogle DriveDropboxOneDriveClioAnd more

Plus thousands more apps, and anything with an API or MCP server.

  3. Step 3

Preview the agreement, then send it

Drop in an agreement and tell your agent who signs it. It places every signature, initials, date, and checkbox field in PandaDoc, assigns each one to the right recipient, and sends you a preview. When it looks right, tell it to send.

Add-ons

Make it do more

Once it’s working, paste any of these into the same thread.

  • Apply changes from email

“When I ask you to update an agreement, look at the changes we agreed to in my email thread with the client, make those adjustments in PandaDoc, and draft a new preview for me to review before it goes back for initials.”

  • Send it when a deal closes

“When a deal moves to Closed Won in HubSpot, draft the agreement from my PandaDoc template with the deal's details and send me a preview. Once everyone signs, mark the deal as signed and email the client a welcome note with next steps.”

  • Start from my templates

“When I ask for an NDA, engagement letter, or offer letter, start from my PandaDoc template, fill in the details I give you, and send me a preview.”

  • File it and loop in the team

“When everyone has signed an agreement, save the signed copy to the client's folder in Google Drive, open the matter in Clio, and post in that client's Slack channel so the team knows it's signed.”

Common questions

Will my Tasklet agent send agreements without asking me?

No. This setup has your agent send you a summary and a preview link first, and it only sends the agreement once you say it looks good. If you’d rather it send agreements automatically as part of your process, it can, but only once you give it permission and tell it that’s what you want. For legal documents, check every field in the preview before you approve it.

What if it puts a field in the wrong place?

Just tell your agent what to change, like “move Sam’s initials to page 3” or “Nina doesn’t need to sign the last page.” It updates the agreement and sends you a new preview.

Will it change the wording of my agreement?

No. Your agent only adds signature, initials, date, and checkbox fields and assigns each one to the right person. It leaves your text alone unless you ask it to make a change. Check the preview before you approve it.

Do I need a paid PandaDoc plan?

No. PandaDoc’s free plan includes API access, with a sandbox key for testing and a production key for real agreements. The free plan covers 60 documents a year with up to two recipients each. For more, see PandaDoc’s API plans.

Can it use my PandaDoc templates?

Yes. Tell your agent which template to start from, like your NDA or engagement letter. It fills in the details you give it, assigns each role to the right recipient, and sends you a preview before anything goes out.

Can I use Docusign, Adobe Acrobat Sign, or another e-signature tool?

Often, yes. Your agent can connect directly to many e-signature tools, and to any tool with an API or MCP server. Setup and plan requirements vary, so have your agent connect yours and run a test before you send a real agreement. We used PandaDoc in this walkthrough because it works especially well for this kind of workflow, but you can try whichever tool you already use.

Is it safe to connect PandaDoc to Tasklet?

Yes. Tasklet is SOC 2 Type II compliant and your data is encrypted. You paste your API key into a secure form, never into the chat, so your agent never sees it. Visit our Trust Center for details.

How much does it cost?

You can try it free, with no payment required. Paid plans start at $25 a month. How many credits it uses depends on how many agreements it prepares and which AI model you choose. See pricing

Here’s how law firms are using Tasklet to send out agreements for signature without having to manually place all the different signature boxes. A much simpler way to have that happen is to give the document that you need signatures on to your agent, have your agent connected to PandaDoc through their API, and then it can handle all of the busywork for you, whether that’s a listing agreement, a service agreement, an NDA, or an offer letter.

So let’s get started. The first thing that you’ll want to do is connect PandaDoc to Tasklet through its API. So let’s tell it that’s what we want to do: “Connect to PandaDoc through their API.” Whenever you use an API to connect to any kind of service or platform, it’s going to pull up this type of form for you, so that you can select the details and paste in the API key in a secure location.

If you were doing this for real, you would use a production key, but in this case, let’s copy the sandbox key here from PandaDoc. Then let’s go back into Tasklet. Type “API-Key”, a space, and then paste in the API key, and then you can run a test. Confirm, trust and continue. And it says passed here, so great. Let’s hit create, and grant access. Now that we’re connected to PandaDoc through the API, let’s give it a test.

This is a commercial lease agreement, and there are places for initials and signatures and dates on here for a few different people. And then I have a prompt prepared: “Here’s a new lease agreement. Get it ready for signature in PandaDoc. For every place that needs a signature, initials, a date, or a checkbox, assign each one to the right person.”

I have all of these going to a different variation of my email. “Before you send it, give me a quick summary of what you placed for each person and a link so I can preview the agreement.” And then we can take a look and see how it does. Okay, so this created locations for initials right here, initials there, a signature, a date, initials, and checkboxes it added here.

If this were a proper legal document, I would obviously go through this thoroughly to double-check that everything is lined up perfectly. It seemed to find all the right things and line them up pretty well. “Looks good. Send it.” Let’s go into my email and make sure it came through. Here’s the agreement that came through my inbox.

We’ll open it up. Let’s click start. Great. Initial. Next. Okay, so that was all pretty straightforward. That’s exactly what I was hoping for, and it did a really good job of getting all of the right locations and assigning them to the correct person.

And the best part about this is once you have it set up and integrated with your agent, if something comes back and you need to make a change, adjust the agreement, line something out, or add a new line and have somebody sign or initial it, you can do all of that just by sending a text or a voice message.

You don’t have to lug around your laptop or open your laptop to make those changes. You can always have it send you a preview, so you can take a look before it sends. And then once you’re comfortable with it, it can handle the rest for you. Agreements and updates can go out much faster, and you don’t have to handle all the busywork.
